Economic Justice Pricing?

let us explain…

We recognize you have multiple layers and identities and that these determine how you experience the world -- including pregnancy, birth and postpartum. We also understand that birth is political; from hospitals to insurance companies to parental leave policies; the system is designed to serve a privileged few.

Our philosophy is that regardless of these many layers, and perhaps because of them, every single person deserves to receive the support they need with as few barriers as humanly possible.

For that reason, we have adapted a tiered pricing system as a way to create access to support no matter where you are in your life right now. We hope this helps place the value back on humanity and gives you a sense of community.

Using our self-evaluation process, look at these tiers we named after a few Silver Falls waterfalls and honestly assess which falls is right for you.

This might bring up big feelings or questions about where you are, how you view yourself, or how you think people view you, but that’s not what this is about. This is about you being able to access this type of support. If you need to reach out to us and have that conversation, we would be happy to chat privately.

We encourage you to read our more detailed description of this type of economic justice tool.

  • Drake Falls

You might be Drake Falls if…

    You have a steady income

You manage to achieve meeting basic needs

    You have little in savings

You lease a house, have a car

You’re able to pay for "wants" on occasion

You can afford to take time off yearly or every few years

If so… you might belong here

Drake Falls is our actual cost.

  • Winter Falls

You might be Winter Falls if…

    You are unemployed or underemployed

You struggle to maintain access to needs such as housing, food, child care, and might rely on government assistance to meet those basic needs

You have no access to savings

You don’t have a car and/or have limited access to one but not always able to afford gas

You rarely buy new items simply because you cannot afford them

You can’t afford vacation or don’t have the stability to take time off without financial burden

If so… you might belong here and you deserve a community that honors your price as equal as the person who’s in a position to pay-it-forward.

  • South Falls

You might be a South Falls if…

You have access to financial security, maybe a multiple-income household

You spend little time worried about securing necessities in your life

    You have financial savings

You own or rent higher-end property, and have multiple cars

You can buy “wants” without budgeting

You take annual vacations and/or happily take time off

For those who are in a financial position to give back to their community, this Falls is for you. Set slightly above the actual cost, that extra bit goes towards supporting the other members of this village. Essentially, it's an opportunity to pay it forward.

If you are at an even deeper level of financial insecurity than what we have listed here, please reach out to us to have a conversation about what support can still look like for you.
